Gangotri to Kedarnath via Uden Col

22 days in India, 10 days trekking; level: very strenuous

Highest Point: 5,486m

Route Highlights: Delhi – Mussoorie – Uttarkashi – Gangotri - Kedartal – Rudhu Gaira – Uden Col – Khatling Glacier – Malyali Pass – Basukital – Kedarnath – Gaurikund – Srinagar – Rishikesh - Delhi

Perhaps a little less strenuous than the Kalindikhal trek but that is a mute point. If you want to undertake this trek you must be in a good shape and have done fair bit of high altitude trekking. From Gangotri we ascend to the Kedar Lake. We continue along the Rudugaira Kharak to the Uden Pass, the highest point along the trek at 5,486m. Next it is down the Khatling Glacier, up Malyali Pass, past Masur Tal to Basuki Tal and to the Kedarnath Temple. The tour winds down with the typical return to Rishikesh, extra day to rest and enjoy sightseeing, then it's back to Delhi.
