DELHI / JAIPUR
Breakfast at Hotel in Delhi. Drive to Jaipur. 230 Kilometers. An excellent 4 Lane highway reaches you to Jaipur in about 4.5 Hours. Check-In at your Hotel. Overnight in Jaipur.

 

JAIPUR
Breakfast at the Hotel. Jaipur, popularly known as the Pink City, is the capital of the state of Rajasthan. It has got its name of Pink City as a major part of the old city has been constructed with Red Stones. It's one of the first cities constructed according to an Urban Plan. It has, long been established, on tourist itineraries as the third corner of India's Golden Triangle. The old city of Jaipur is partially encircled with seven gates - the major gates are Chandpol, Sanganeri, and Ajmeri.

Visit the Amber Fort and take a ride on Elephant Back upto the Fort. Visit the City Palace Museum for its collection of arms, textiles and paintings and astronomical observatory situated next door.
Jaipur, is one of the finest centers in the entire region for beautiful prints - especially on cotton fabrics and has perhaps India's largest centre of semi-precious/ precious gems and stones. Tie-and-die fabrics and Sarees; Sanganer prints, brocades, stone-set and semi precious jewelry; enamel work, there is no end to what Jaipur offers to shoppers.

JAIPUR / RANTHAMBORE
Breakfast at the Hotel. Drive to Ranthambore. Ranthambore Located near the town of Sawaimadhopur and is 132 Kms from Jaipur, a 3-hour drive. Ranthambore Sanctuary covers an area of 392 Square Km. It is internationally acknowledged as one of the last remnants of the once great virgin jungles in Central India.

Near the township of Sawai Madhopur, in the state of Rajasthan, Ranthambore National Park is an outstanding example of Project Tiger's efforts at conservation in the country. The forests around the Ranthambore Fort were once, the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur. The desire to preserve the game in these forests for sport, was responsible for their conservation, and subsequent rescue by Project Tiger. In 1972, it was estimated, that there were around 1927 tigers in India, of which Rajasthan had 74, and the number of big cats in Ranthambore Sanctuary was 14. 1972 was also the year that Project Tiger was launched, and this sanctuary was taken into its wings, alongwith seven other sanctuaries and national parks.

Very early wakeup. 0630 Hrs, Jeep Safari into the Ranthambore National Park with English Speaking Naturalists. The Park is home to mammals like Sambar, Monkeys, Leopard, Sloth bear, spotted deer, blackbuck, bluebull, hyena, mongoose and the Tiger because of which this park enjoys the Special Status of a TIGER RESERVE. This was the private hunting ground of the Maharaja of Jaipur and has been witness to many a hunting parties of Queen Elisabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, before Project Tiger declared it a protected zone. Return to Hotel. Dinner and Overnight.

 

RANTHAMBORE
Morning and afternoon Safaris and stay in Ranthambore. Overnight in Ranthambore.

 

RANTHAMBORE / FATEHPUR SIKRI / AGRA
Buffet American Breakfast at the Hotel. This day we will drive to the City of the Taj Mahal. After an enroute lunch, drive towards Agra. A halt enroute to see the Abandoned City of Fatehpur Sikri.

Fatehpur Sikri was the Capital of the Mughal's during 1571 to 1585, before it was abandoned due to lack of water resources and shifted to Agra.

Towards the end of the Afternoon, arrive at Agra and Check-In at Hotel.

Overnight in Agra.

 

AGRA
Breakfast at Hotel. Sightseeing of Agra. Visit the Itmad ud Daulah and the Red Fort. Towards sunset visit of the Taj Mahal the most extravagant monument, ever built for love, built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of this monument started in 1631 (the year when Mumtaz Mahal died) and was completed in 1653. 20120 people from India and Central Asia worked on the construction of this historic monument.
(This day should not be a Friday as the Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday's for maintenance).

 

AGRA / KHAJURAHO
Breakfast at Hotel. You will be transferred in time to the Airport. Check-In on the flight to Khajuraho. On arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Hotel.

Khajuraho

The magnificent temples at Khajuraho, best known for their representation of delicate sensuality and eroticism are the most exquisite specimens of Hindu architecture. It was once the Capital of the Chandelas but now a quite village that attracts tourists from world over. The temples were built during the rule of the Chandelas and date from 950 to 1050 A.D.

KHAJURAHO / VARANASI
Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer in time to the Airport. Our representative will assist you to Check-In on your flight to Varanasi. Varanasi or Benares or Kashi to the Indians, is considered the oldest living City in the World. The Word Varanasi is derived from the two words Varuna and Assi, two rivers that meet here to give it the name Varanasi.

You will be met on arrival by our representative at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Check-In at Hotel. Evening visit the Dashashwamedha Ghat to witness the ritual on the banks of the Ganges. Return to Hotel. Overnight.

 

VARANASI
Early wakeup and transfer to the Boat Jetty by the Ganges. Boat Ride on the Ganges to view sunrise and see the rituals being performed by the locals. Visit the various ghats (settlements on the shore). Return to Hotel for breakfast. Time at leisure. Visit of Sarnath, where the Buddha preached his first sermon. Visit the Temples and the Sanskrit University buildings, built in neo-gothic style. Overnight in Varanasi.

VARANASI / DELHI
Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer in time to the Airport. Our representative will assist you to Check-In on your flight to Delhi. You will be met on arrival by our representative at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

 

DELHI
Breakfast at Hotel. You will proceed on a guided tour of New Delhi. This day you will be doing a panoramic visit the India Gate, Parliament Buildings and the Presidential Palace.
The monuments that will be visited from the interiors are the 73-Meter tall Qutab Minar, the construction of which started in the end of the 12th Century and completed in the middle of the 14th Century.

The Humayun's Tomb, built by this second Mughal Rulers Persian wife in the mid 16th Century.
Visit of a Bangla Sahib a Sikh Temple located in the heart of the City.
Late night you will be transferred to the International Airport for your early morning departure flight from India.
