Nestled in the Aravali
hills of Rajasthan, in the village of Delwara is the
18th century Devi Garh Fort Palace. Sajja Singh, a ruler
from the neibhouring state of Gujarat was awarded this
Fort in recognition of his bravery and loyalty to
Maharana Pratap, against the Mughal invaders. The actual
construction of this Palace started in 1760’s. Additions
to the original structure were made by successive
rulers. After years of restoration and rebuilding, the
Devigarh Fort is ready for visitors. The Fort Palace was
conceived as a place where the past meets the future.
